Bringing Hope Through God’s Word in Myanmar

In Myanmar, hope can feel like a distant memory.

In recent years, the nation has endured a devastating convergence of crises. Political unrest has fractured daily life. A global pandemic left deep scars. And a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake has brought further loss and fear. Families are grieving. Communities are struggling to survive. For many, the future feels uncertain and fragile.

And yet, even in the darkest moments, God’s Word remains a beacon of hope.

At Kingsway/CLC Trust, our mission is to honour God by making trusted Christian literature available to all nations, so that people everywhere may come to faith and grow to maturity in the Lord Jesus Christ. In Myanmar, this mission carries a particular urgency—and a deep reliance on prayer.

CLC Myanmar, under the leadership of Jacob Mung, is stepping forward with courage to bring the life-changing message of the Gospel to a nation in need, through the distribution of Burmese-language

Bibles.

The people are desperate. The future feels hopeless. But God’s Word offers a hope that will never fail.”— Jacob Mung, National Director, CLC Myanmar

Reaching Hearts Through the Word of God

Myanmar is home to more than 100 ethnic groups and dialects. Yet Burmese remains the official and most widely understood language—used in schools, government, and media. For this reason, the project is focused on ensuring Scripture is available in Burmese, so that God’s Word can be read, understood, and shared as widely as possible.

This initiative includes two vital elements:

  • Printing 20,000 standard Burmese Bibles
  • Reprinting 10,000 copies of the Myanmar Study Bible — the first ever non-denominational Study Bible in the Burmese language

These are not simply books. They are the living Word of God—offering truth, peace, and purpose to people surrounded by fear and uncertainty.

We are trusting God to enable printing to begin this year, with a significant logistical effort to transport the Bibles into Myanmar via Thailand in 2026. Border restrictions, economic instability, customs challenges, and rising transport costs make this one of the most complex operations CLC Myanmar has ever undertaken.

Why Your Partnership Matters

Myanmar’s ongoing economic crisis means that raising funds locally is almost impossible. At the same time, the spiritual need is immense. Around 90% of the population has still not heard the Gospel. This is a spiritual emergency.

We are inviting you to stand with us by helping cover the cost of printing:

  • £3.80 / $5.00 provides one Burmese Bible
  • £12.66 / $17.00 provides one Burmese Study Bible

Every gift—large or small—helps place God’s Word into the hands of someone longing for light in the darkness. Our prayer is that each person who receives a Bible will not only be strengthened in faith, but will also become a messenger of hope within their community.

This is more than a project.
It is a lifeline.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with us? Together, we can help deliver the eternal hope of Jesus Christ to those who are desperate for truth, peace, and new life.

Help us bring hope by providing Bibles for Myanmar.
